Description
Conception: Rachel has calmed down somewhat and she's sitting down now. My nose hurts...
Method: Load base scene, load model via Generic_Item.mesh.ascii file, apply pose - tinker relentlessly, take a picture in XPS (yes, I'm switching over to referring to it as XPS now), write, and submit.
Commentary: There are a lot of sit poses made by the really prolific Deviants here, but for this I required something simple. Besides, Rachel is still a bit miffed so wouldn't want to do anything particularly glamorous. The problem with sit poses with such a long dress is that it gets really tricky to pose in XPS. By going to 90 degrees or thereabouts, distortion tends to occur which makes the dress look really strange. Not only that, but sitting down means there is inevitable clipping between the body and the chair. The angle here hides the worst of the distortions and clipping of the back of the dress.
The overall feel of this makes it seem that Rachel is somewhat suspended in mid-air. This isn't the case, but I guess the illusion is the dress covering most of her legs (which are crossed over) leading to a feeling of floatiness. Speaking of which, that makes me want to use Nyotengu at some point...
The pose is simple, but the amount of adjustments required was bordering on silly. It's why I need the occasional diversion from this to keep the creative process going as it were. Still, it came out okay I think.
