Description
Conception: And continuing...
Method: Adjust the pose in Blender. Save.
Load model into XPS, apply saved pose, adjust further. Save.
Back to Blender. Import adjusted pose. Render.
Commentary: This is where things became more limited. The limitations were with the lips and how much could be done with them. Ideally the lips form tightly around the finger, but the 8 bones for the lips and mouth it felt limited. As such I couldn't form that look and this was the closest I could manage. I'm not entirely sure if something like the 'hook' function in Blender would do the trick. I believe I came across a tutorial here which mentioned a 'deform' function in another 3D software which helps to add realism; I'm pretty certain Blender would have something similar to achieve the same effect. One of the difficulties of posing in Blender (aside from the sensitivity) is the view itself. When posing it has the rig showing which obscures how the model looks. XPS is better in this respect which is why I switched to it to try and get those final touches.
This time her eyes are fully closed. She's getting into this...
